  • Free Methodist World Missions is committed to making disciples among the peoples of the world through evangelism, leadership development and compassion ministries/community transformation. The Free Methodist Church has ministry in 72 countries worldwide.

    Mexico

Join in prayer for the young teen camp (Campamento de Adolescentes) which will be held this weekend, March 23-25, at Rancho Betania. Pray the lives of the young people will be touched by God.
Guy and Betsy Crawford also request prayer for the Chihuahua Conference churches to experience renewal and revival. Pray they have vision to reach their communities for Christ. Remember to pray for pastors who are discouraged because they have not seen growth.
Also give God praise for the recently purchased property in a good location for the Rocky Point (Puerto Peñasco) church plant. Pray for God's direction for Pastor Manuel who reports rising attendance in their house church.

    Missions Family

    New Missionaries:
Michael and Carrie Hamley are thankful to have received confirmation of their adjusted assignment. Although originally hoping to begin ministry in Italy, they encountered numerous problems with entrance visas. Last week, the Hamleys were invited to work directly under the leadership of Cindi and Eduardo Angelo who minister in Lisbon, Portugal, until a door opens in Italy. Pray for the documents that are needed to apply for visas in Portugal and for all aspects of Michael and Carrie's transition and move in late April.

    Nigeria

Phyllis Sortor requests prayer that the schools at Ikot Ekpe and Ikot Ntuk will continue to "minister to the children with quality education and the gospel of Jesus Christ, producing mature, God-fearing adults for tomorrow's Nigeria." Also pray for two construction projects: a new hostel at Hope Academy and the new school in Kogi State for Fulani children.

    Cambodia

Pray for God's wisdom and grace to surround Isaac, coordinator of Cambodia's FM micro-economic projects. A new piglet project has started in Coconut Village. May God strengthen the faith of all the church members so non-believers who are participating in the project will see God at work and accept Him as Savior. Also pray for God's wisdom as the Development Committee looks for other micro- economic projects.

    VISA Ministries

    Individual Assignments:
Keith Snyder and Scott DeHollander (Edgewood FMC, NY) are currently in Haiti to prepare a topographical map of a property that will be the site of a new Christian university and to begin the process of campus planting.

Team Ministry Opportunity: There is a great need for a construction team to help with the Bancasi, Philippines, development project for the Light and Life Graduate School. The Bancasi Church has moved off the conference grounds to its new facility. The vacated property is to be renovated into offices and classrooms for the graduate school. The Bancasi Conference Center has become an essential retreat and training center for the Philippines General Conference. Pray God provides a team in the next year and the financing needed - approximately $15,000. A team coming with $5,000 toward the cost would be a great help. Contact VISA Ministries at visa@fmcna.org or 800-342- 5531, if you are interested in learning more.

Ministry Opportunities: Thailand A first grade teacher is needed who can “sub” for missionary Natelle Austin at Grace International School when the Austins are on home assignment. The need is from June through Dec. 2007. For more information, contact visa@fmcna.org or call 800-342-5531.

    Mobilization
