GUESS WHAT?

Well, if you guessed we are going home to Haiti, you are 1/2 right!

We are flying to Haiti next week, but we are going to live in Dessalines until Port-au-Prince settles down more. We are excited! Please pray that we will be able to get back to our main ministries … but pray that this time will see the kingdom of God marching forward winning souls to Jesus, encouraging the Christians, and strengthening holistic ministries.

Dessalines is also the home of our hospital, which is in desperate need of finances and revitalization. Please pray as we join with the hospital and community leaders to help the people in the town and surrounding areas. For example, a little girl fell into the cooking fire. Every week or so, she and her mom came in to have her burns treated. She tried so hard to be strong as the painful procedure took place. When we looked into her eyes, she smiled through her tears.

Dessalines is the center of voodoo worship. Pray as the Church of Jesus Christ battles for the souls of the precious people of Haiti.

One day we stopped by the sacred pool to take some pictures. A young man, who was a little inebriated, proposed marriage to Jeanne who was sitting in the back seat. Jeanne pointed out that her husband was sitting in the front seat. The man said that he didn’t mind … 2 husbands are fine. Then we told him that Jeanne was a preacher. The man grinned, looked at Jack, and said, “You can have her!”

We are so grateful for your continued support. During this very difficult time in the States, many of you have shared much needed encouragement. The Lord has redeemed this time to give us a rewarding work with the Haitians in Florida. The pastors of the eight Haitian FM churches are wonderful men working diligently to minister to people newly arrived from Haiti, those who have been straddling the many cultures in Florida, and Haitians who were born in the U.S. Please pray for them.

But money still went into Haiti to meet the demands of the FM ministries. It is vital that finances continue to be given to this poor country.

Please be sure to mark your support for us with “Jack and Jeanne Munos.” Be sure to remind your church treasurer to mark the money with our name as well. It needs to go through the system stated clearly or we will not receive that support.

Thank you so much.

We are counting on your prayers for:
- Our family as we leave them again
- Our transition back into the culture
- The Haitian church leaders as they evangelize and disciple their people
- The new government as the leaders work with the many facets of Haiti
- New personnel – that people will sense the call of God to work in Haiti

For His kingdom to fully come to Haiti and the world,
Jack and Jeanne Munos
