This team from the Franklinville, Gowanda,
Ogemaw Hills (MI)
and Christ Community (GA) FM churches served in
Mapou-Chevalier,
Haiti from April 15-24, 2005. The team
worked to repair the
damaged Mapou mission house due to
the massive flooding from Tropical
Storm
Jeanne back in
September 2004. Projects included fixing the
generator (to
restore power), replacing the well pump (to restore
water),
scrubbing the walls and floors, repainting the first floor,
painting the exterior walls of the house, replacing all
electrical
outlets on the first floor, building new shelving
units, sanding down
and refinishing the exterior doors,
repairing damaged interior doors and
making (10) 14' benches
for the FM church in Mapou. |
